on the boards: valerio street apartments

Valerio Street Apartments/Santa Barbara The idea behind this project was to add a 2 bedroom – 2 bath unit in the back yard of an existing house, and still provide parking for the required 4 cars. The design plays upon the current vernacular of the existing home and neighborhood, and yet creates a dynamic loft like interior of the new house. By placing it above the carport, the new unit has great views of the mountains and surrounding trees.
