Armstrong House/Santa Barbara
In order to take advantage of great views of the mountains and some slight views of the ocean, the main living areas and the master suite were placed upstairs. This also created a spacious open plan and allowed for cathedral ceilings with exposed beams and wood plank ceilings. A giant window at the two story volume area of the house, and a wall of glass at the entry foyer, promotes the outdoor garden as an integral component of the home’s layout.
